This Week’s Solution
In this game, you had to find the best continuation for white after the following moves:
- e4, e5
- Nf3, d6
- Bc4, Bg4
- Nc3, g6?
The solution that we were looking for:
White can offer up his queen by 5. Nxe5, but it is a poisoned cup of the finest wine, after black plays 5… Bxd1?? 6. Bxf7+! Ke7 7.Nd5++
Black should back off and accept the loss of a pawn by 5… Be6!, instead of falling for the queen!
